Canadian Beverage Container Recycling Association (CBCRA)
Founded in 2010, the Canadian Beverage Container Recycling Association (CBCRA) is a not-for-profit, industry-funded organization whose membership includes beverage brand owners and distributors. CBCRA implemented and operates the Recycle Everywhere program, with a focus to educate Manitobans on beverage container recycling, and ensure that it is convenient to recycle empty beverage containers no matter where you live, work or play.
Recycle Everywhere promotes beverage container recycling wherever beverages are consumed, both at home and away from home. This includes Canada’s first province-wide away from home beverage container recycling program. We have partnered with communities, municipalities, schools, businesses, institutions, parks, festivals and events throughout Manitoba to provide them with the best Recycle Everywhere bin for the space free of charge. Recycling bins are accessible and convenient in communities throughout the province.
In spring 2021 the Recycle Everywhere mobile app was launched to further reward Manitobans for recycling their empty beverage containers. By downloading and activating an account, Manitobans can now take a photo of their recycling bin, scan the barcode on the beverage container and drop-it-in to win. Prizes range from daily, weekly, monthly prizes, and two $25,000 grand prizes. It’s one more way that Recycle Everywhere is giving back to Manitobans.
